Pascuala Aceves (1860 – 1901) (Mexico – San Francisco) mi bis-abuela, my great-grandmother.

Her brothers and sisters, sus hermanos –

  • Maria (1858 – 1938) (Mexico – San Francisco)
  • Fernando (1862 – ?) (Mexico – ?)
  • Clairita (? – ?) (Mexico – ?)
  • Agustina (? – ?) (Mexico – ?)
  • Tilano (? – ?) (Mexico – ?)

We want to find her parents.  Queremos encontrar a sus padres.

Mi bis-abuela estaba de México.  My great-grandmother was from Mexico.  During the search it became apparent to me that we might need to go to Mexican websites, perhaps even to Mexico, to try to learn more.  I didn’t want to rely on someone else’s interpretation.  I have been studying for a couple of years now, online, through the University of Arkansas.  This fall I will attend the UA for two classes in Spanish.

Tonight I have been studying the subjunctive in adjective and adverb clauses.  The class I am now taking, SPAN2013, is a prerequisite to the fall classes.

Welcome to my blog about my search for the family of my great-grandmother, Pascuala Aceves.  Even though I say this is my search, I don’t want anyone to think this is something you do alone.  This search has very much involved members of my family.  I just am not speaking for all of us.

This blog is also being written with the hope that there are relatives of Pascuala that we have not met … that we do not know, and that they too are searching …
